Welcome to Luz Apothecary, I'm so glad you're here! Our candles are developed with the idea that they should be an everyday luxury. We have a minimal aesthetic look for our shop, so anyone is able to seamlessly style them in their home. We hope our products give you moments of restoration throughout the day as well as inspiration.

As Luz Apothecary grows, we are committed to keeping sustainability in our products down to the packaging and reusable vessels. All of our candles are made from 100% soy wax that is domestically grown. Our entire line of candles and body care items are cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and eco-friendly.

My name is Jackie Medina, I am the founder and creator of Luz Apothecary. I am the one woman show behind the scenes. Besides running my Apothecary shop, I work full time in a hospital in Chicago, I work very late nights and super early mornings, with very little sleep. When I am not working in the hospital I am pouring candles, creating new fragrances, creating body care products, designing & printing labels, trimming wicks, sanitizing work area and jars, labeling products, packing orders, photographing items, managing social media content and everything else that falls under the small business umbrella. To say it keeps me busy is an understatement, but I LOVE what I do. I do it with the hope that in the near future I will be resigning from the hospital and will be solely focusing on Luz Apothecary.
